My First Blog Post

About 6 years ago my family was affected with multiple sclerosis. This is my story and I just want to thank every individual who has taken the time to join me on my blog and spread awareness for multiple sclerosis.

At the age of 11 I suffered with seizures. I had a really big seizure which led me too lose feeling in the whole left side of my body. I could not walk, talk, eat, drink or even do things by myself. I was fed through a feeding tube as I stayed in Sandwell General Hospital in West Bromwich, England most of my life. I didn’t know what was wrong with me and I was petrified. I went through doctor after doctor enduring many MRI’s. I can remember it like it was yesterday. At first they thought I had epilepsy but then the MRI scans come back showing I had lesions on the brain. The doctors decided they wanted to do a spinal tap and 3 days later they told my mom and dad I had multiple sclerosis. Of course, I had no idea what was going on. I did tremendous research and educated myself more about my condition. And the journey begins… I’m on Topiramate for seizures. The first drug I went on was for MS as Avonex and the second drug was Aubagio. I am now on Cladribine
